QED International Makes Its AFM Debut
With Daniel Diamond Helming International
Daniel Diamond

Daniel Diamond attends his first AFM as President of International for QED International. QED's CEO Bill Block stated that Block Diamond's appointment is part of an operational expansion of QED backed by the eight-figure investment made by Media Content Capital in QED International earlier in the year.

QED International CEO Bill Block said, "We're committed to bringing the best films to our international partners, and at AFM, we're better equipped than ever to deliver on that promise. Daniel will add significantly to our global firepower. His shrewd understanding of the changing rights business and his exceptional relationships in every market will allow us to achieve better market penetration globally, and we're thrilled he is part of the team."

Daniel Diamond added, "QED, under the leadership of Bill Block, has proven its ability to source and finance visionary, star-driven filmed entertainment. I am thrilled at the opportunity to help expand and drive this vision forward on a global basis."

At AFM QED International has a strong slate films that include Ten, directed by David Ayres and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger; Fading Gigolo, directed by John Turturro and starring Turturro and Woody Allen; and Elysium, directed by Neil Blomkamp and starring Matt Damon.

Prior to joining QED Diamond was President of International Distribution at Morgan Creek, where he was responsible for worldwide distribution and marketing of Morgan Creek productions such as Dream House, which was directed by Jim Sheridan and stars Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz; and the 2011 reboot of legendary SciFi thriller The Thing as well as MCP's extensive library of iconic motion pictures such as Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves, Ace Ventura, Last Of The Mohicans and the Major League and Young Guns franchises.

Prior to Morgan Creek, Mr. Diamond served as the President of Fireworks Pictures, the motion picture division and wholly owned subsidiary of Canada's CanWest Global. Before joining Fireworks, Mr. Diamond served as President of International Distribution for Franchise Pictures.
