Building On Successful Relationship Spotlight Secures
International Rights To Child Of God From James Franco
& Vince Jolivette's Rabbit Bandini Productions

Matt McCombs

Continuing its successful relationship with James Franco and Vince Jolivette's Rabbit Bandini Productions, Spotlight Pictures has secured the international rights to the grizzly crime-thriller Child of God. Directed by James Franco, and starring Scott Haze, Tim Blake Nelson and Franco, the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival and had its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Spotlight Pictures' CEO Matt McCombs stated, "We are thrilled to continue our relationship with James and Vince. They are among the most fearless and creative producers out there. We welcome the opportunity to represent all three of their films to international buyers at AFM."

Vince Jolivette of Rabbit Bandini's commented: "Our relationship with Spotlight so far has been extraordinary and we were excited to continue it with Child of God."

Child of God marks the third collaboration between Spotlight and Rabbit Bandini, following the acquisition of Tar, starring Franco, Mila Kunis and Jessica Chastain and Sal, the biopic of Sal Mineo, which Franco also directed.

Child of God is based on the book by Cormac McCarthy, novelist of No Country For Old Men, The Road and The Counselor, which have been adapted to the screen.

The deal was negotiated between Jolivette for Rabbit Bandini and Carlos Rincon for Spotlight Pictures.
