Mark Werner To Join Eyeworks As Head Writer & Producer

Mark Werner joins Eyeworks Germany as the new Head Writer and Producer in the creative department of Eyeworks Fiction & Film. Commenting on the appointment, which Werner takes up April 1st, Oliver Fuchs, CEO Eyeworks Germany, said: "Our goal is to expand our success in the fiction area and to focus on further creative development. With Mark Werner we are very lucky to have a multi-talented colleague, who is going to complete our creative team and bring in new and added vitality. We are looking forward to an exciting collaboration."

Mark Werner previously held the position of Head writer and Creative producer at Brainpool. Prior to Brainpool for over a decade he worked as author and head writer for Sony Pictures, developing scripts for successful television series such as My Life and I, Rita's World, All Atze and Nikola

Nominated several times for the German TV Award and the German Comedy Award, Werner was awarded the German TV Award. The comedy The Big Comeback, his latest TV movie for broadcaster ZDF, is currently nominated for the Grimme Award. He is the author of several novels and non-fiction books. His latest novel Crumple Zone was released in the fall of 2011.

Mark Werner joins the Eyeworks Germany creative team and will work closely with Rene Jamm, Creative Director Fiction & Entertainment, and Sabine de Mardt, Director of Fiction & Film.

Prior to entering the Television industry Mark Werner studied German philology and history, and upon his graduation worked as a Journalist and Editor-in-Chief.
