Heather Jones To General Manager

Heather Jones, General Manager of A+E Networks® UK
Heather Jones has been appointed General Manager, UK of A+E Networks® UK. Making the announcement of the appointment, Tom Davidson, Managing Director of A+E Networks UK, to whom she will continue to report, said: "With her in-depth knowledge of the TV landscape, combined with a vision and passion for great entertainment, Heather is the perfect candidate to drive the UK business to deliver its full potential. I am delighted that she has accepted this well-deserved promotion."

Heather Jones commented: "I am excited to be taking up this new opportunity at A+E Networks. I love each of the channels in our UK portfolio and I can't wait to get stuck into the new challenges that this broader remit will bring."

Jones takes on her responsibilities for all aspects of the business across the company's UK operation and portfolio of channels: HISTORY®, Lifetime®, Crime + Investigation™ and H2® as of February 3rd. She joined A+E Networks UK in July 2013 as VP of Programming. Jones previously held senior management roles at leading UK independent production company North One and Viacom in the UK. She joined Viacom from Paramount Comedy where she was Managing Director, UK.

About Heather Jones
Heather Jones was appointed VP of Programming for A+E Networks UK in July 2013. She is responsible for commissions, acquisitions, schedules and research and insight for all of the A+E Networks UK portfolio of channel brands: HISTORY®, Crime + Investigation™ , H2® and Lifetime®, which Heather helped launch in the UK in November 2013 and in Africa in July 2014. Previous to joining A&E Networks in 2011, Heather was Managing Director of North One Television, part of All3Media, with responsibility for overseeing the strategic direction of the company's portfolio and its expansion into new genres and territories. Heather was previously Director of Television at Viacom in the UK, where she held overall responsibility for content and creativity across the music and comedy channel portfolio at MTV Networks UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Before joining MTV, Heather was Managing Director at Paramount Comedy, having joined as Director of Programming in 2002. Prior to that she held positions with Flextech and Buena Vista Television.
