Content Media Has Acquired Selling International Rights
To The Highly Controversial Documentary Deep Web
& John Suits' Sci-Fi Action / Thriller Pandemic

Jamie Carmichael, Content Media Film President

Hot on Content's EFM slate is Deep Web, the documentary which chronicles the October 2013 arrest of Ross William Ulbricht, the 30-year-old entrepreneur alleged to be Dread Pirate Roberts — founder of Silk Road, the notorious online black market best known for drug trafficking and the trade of all illegal goods and services.

Directed, written and produced by Alex Winter, the feature-length documentary explores the rise of a new Internet; decentralized, encrypted, dangerous and beyond the law. It takes a close look inside the story of the investigation and unveils how the brightest minds and thought leaders behind the Deep Web and Bitcoin are now caught in the crosshairs of the battle for control of a future inextricably linked to technology. The documentary features exclusive interviews with the Ulbricht family including Lyn and Kirk Ulbricht, Ross' parents who have become public advocates for digital rights and due process.

Content's Film President Jamie Carmichael said: "The Silk Road was anarchy online, a free market for everything, regardless of the rule of law. This film pulls back the curtain on the revolutionary movement taking place with the hidden corners of the Internet."

Deep Web is an EPIX Original Documentary. Alex Winter produced the film alongside Glen Zipper and Marc Schiller. Winter and Schiller previously worked together on the documentary Downloaded, about the rise and fall of Napster. Zipper's prior credits include the Academy Award® winning Undefeated and the Grammy Award® winning Foo Fighters: Back and Forth. Executive producers are Seth Gordon (Print the Legend, Freakonomics, Undefeated), Jill Burkhart, and Ross Bernard. Content will screen promo during EFM.

Also set to debut at EFM is the sci-fi action / thriller Pandemic starring Rachel Nichols, Mekhi Phifer, Missi Pyle, Alfie Allen, Danielle Rose Russell, Paul Guilfoyle, and Pat Healy. Directed by John Suits, Pandemic is an intense and unique film that features non-stop action from a first person shooter perspective (FPS), putting the audience in the middle of every fight whilst feeling in control of every punch thrown and shot fired. It's a new model of action thriller for the video game generation.

Jamie Carmichael says: "Pandemic is a potential game changer. The FPS component immerses the viewer right into heart the film - in a hybrid gamer style. We're incredibly impressed with John and Gabriel's inventive work."

The film is produced by Gabriel Cowan with Suits through their New Artists Alliance (NAA) banner with XLrator Media, which will also distribute the film in North America as the second film in its three-picture deal with NAA. Executive producers are Danny Roth and Damiano Tucci of Parkside Pictures, Michael Tadross Jr. of Tadross Media Group and Content Film's President Jamie Carmichael. Content are showing exclusive, first time footage of Pandemic to Buyers at EFM.
