Martin Gastinger Takes The Reins
As CEO Of ATV Broadcasting Group

Martin Gastinger
Just two weeks prior to the Cannes Film Festival Martin Gastinger, took the reins as the CEO of the ATV Broadcasting Group, the Tele Munchen Group's broadcasting interests in Austria.

Martin Gastinge said: "I am looking forward to taking on greater responsibility at ATV, which is clearly Number One among Austrian commercial broadcasters. We have recently shown that we, too, are able to draw nearly one million viewers to the TV screen at ATV. The channel is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and will continue to surprise viewers in the future with its innovative program content and outstanding TV entertainment."

Martin Gastinger who has worked at ATV since April 2007 as its program director, took on the role from the previous incumbent Dr. Ludwig Bauer who has returned to Munich at his own bequest and will be responsible for other TV interests of Tele Munchen Group - TELE 5 and RTL II - until the fourth quarter of 2013.

Dr. Ludwig Bauer commented: "My five years in Austria were full of challenges, yet it was incredibly fascinating to develop ATV and to launch ATV2. Thanks to the unique creative freedom accorded to me by the owner, Herbert G. Kloiber, to the unwavering support of Tele Munchen Group and, of course, to our talented and creative colleagues, we can look back on five truly positive years. I am returning to Munich with pride in what we have built up and achieved together."

Herbert G. Kloiber added: "I would like to thank Ludwig Bauer very warmly for his tremendous commitment in Vienna. In the past five years he managed and developed the channel with exceptional skill. Martin Gastinger is one of the leading creative minds in the German-language TV landscape. His ability to develop ever new audience-pleasing formats has brought him renown far beyond the borders of Austria. I am very pleased and confident to entrust the further development of the ATV broadcasting group to him."
