Umedia Launches Sales On Giuseppe Tornatore's
Correspondence Currently On Ten Week Shoot

Correspondence, currently shooting
Umedia International launches sales at Cannes on Giuseppe Tornatore's Correspondence, starring Jeremy Irons and Olga Kurylenko, which Tornatore also wrote, and is his third English language film. A bittersweet story of love and loss, it tells of a PhD student (Kurylenko) who takes excessive risks in her paid work as a stuntwoman.

Umedia is handling world sales and providing UK production services on behalf of Paco Cinematografica. The film is produced by Isabella Cocuzza and Arturo Paglia.

Arturo Paglia said: "After The Best Offer we are pleased and honored to be working with Giuseppe Tornatore once again. He is back with an international film, a story with twists and turns in which guilt, passion, past and future intertwine, and we don't know until the very end which path the heroine will follow."

Umedia International's Peter Rogers said: "Following our successful collaboration with Paco Cinematografica on The Best Offer, we are happy to continue our working relationship on Giuseppe Tornatore's new film. Tornatore's emotionally engaging stories connect very well with international audiences."

Correspondence is a Paco Cinematografica and Rai Cinema production, in cooperation with UniCredit Leasing S.p.A., and supported by BLS Sudtirol - Alto Adige, Trentino Film Commission and Torino Piemonte Film Commission.

Tornatore's last film, also produced by Paco and sold by Umedia, was The Best Offer, which made over $25M at the international box office and won multiple David di Donatello Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. Correspondence reunites much of the same production team behind 2013's hit The Best Offer, including long time Tornatore collaborator Ennio Morricone as composer.

Production is underway with a ten week shoot in Italy, Edinburgh and York. Correspondence is scheduled to be released through 01 Distribution in Italy on 1 January 2016.
