Casino Jack From Hannibal Pictures
Signs Three New Stars

Kevin Spacey
Barry Pepper, Kelly Preston and Rachelle Lafevre have signed on to co-star with Kevin Spacey in the thriller Casino Jack a/k/a Bagman, directed by George Hickenlooper.

Gary Howsam and George Vitetzakis will produce, from an original screenplay by Norman Snider. Casino Jack is set to go into production in Toronto on May 23, 2009, for delivery March 2010.

Executive Producers are Richard Rionda Del Castro, Donald Zuckerman, Patricia Eberle, Lewin Webb, Oscar Generale, and Dana Brunetti for Trigger Street Productions.

Loosely based on a true story, the film stars Spacey as Jack Abramoff, the former high-powered lobbyist. Kelly Preston will play Pam Abramoff, Jack’s loving wife, loyal to the end to a man who used and abused the American system. Barry Pepper will pay his young protégé, Michael Scanlon, who teamed with Abramoff to start a casino empire of their own, and whose relationship with his mentor ended with a tragic betrayal. Rachelle Lafevre (Twilight) will play Pepper’s love interest Emily Miller.

Hannibal Pictures handling worldwide sales, excluding North America, have closed deals at Cannes with several territories including Latin South America, Spain, Portugal, all of Eastern Europe, Greece, and the Middle East. Deals with Germany, Benelux, UK, Turkey, and Italy are in negotiations.

E1 Entertainment has purchased Canadian rights, and US co-representation is being handled by Cassian Elwes with William Morris and Andrew Ruf at Paradigm.
