Winx Club Series For Kids Finds
Audience On Global Netflix Platform

 

Winx Club WOW: World of Winx

 
Cementing their global content geared to the needs of an audience incorporating the children’s sector, Netflix, Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) and Rainbow Studios have expanded  their partnership  of the popular Winx Club franchise with a spin-off series, Winx Club WOW: World of Winx, that will be exclusively available in all Netflix territories including France and Germany. This partnership with leading European animation studio, Winx Club WOW is the latest addition to the Netflix original kids programming slate.alties, even as his quiet suffering threatens his own well-being. The screenplay by Chris Roessner was included in the 2012 Black List of "Top Unproduced Scripts.

In Winx Club WOW, the girls embark on an undercover journey all around the world looking for talented kids in art, sports, music and science. Winx Club fans will delight in the new approach to storylines that will be more serialized and designed specifically for the on-demand viewing of Netflix members. The two seasons of thirteen 22-minute episodes are packed full of Winx Club's famous mixture of friendship, magic and adventure.
The first of the two all-new seasons will be available by early 2016 with the second following in the autumn. The two companies' existing partnership has already seen the earlier seasons of Winx Club released on the service in all global regions where Netflix is currently available, as well as other hit Rainbow properties PopPixie and Mia and me. Additionally, the most recent Winx Club movie, The Mystery of the Abyss, will be available only on Netflix in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland and France shortly after its theatrical release earlier this month.

Rome-based Adriana Chiesa Enterprises (ACE) have increased their worldwide TV offering to include the Adventures of Marloow, a CGI animated series of 25 x2 short films.

The 2 minute no dialogue segments targeted at pre-schoolers revolve around Marloow, a night cleaner who works in a big farm studio. During the night with his broom under his arms he wanders around the studio, sits in the director's chair, choosing his props from warehouse, and the wardrobe department. With all this cinema equipment in his hands, he is the undisputed ruler of the studio offices, neither an actor nor a screenwriter. The studio's movie sets fire his imagination, inspiring his creativity to 'shoot' extraordinary adventures in the many different worlds he portrays in his own segments. Included in the 25 mini episodes are: The Head Hunter; Crazing Cows; Four Jumps Between The Stars; Marloow of Egypt; Dodgeball; - Treausure Hunt; - Marloow San; Super Marloow; Lost in Space; Sir Marloow; Indiana Marloow; Illusionist; Top Gun Marloow; Marloow Superbowl; Marloow and the Natives; - Marloow in War; Arsenio Marloow; China Marloow; and Marloow Oscar, among others with a cinematic theme. The Marloow episodes are ready for delivery to air.

Also available from ACE is the cookery Cruditaly from Raw Food Chef Vito Cortese, first Italian project dedicated to raw gourmet cuisine and the growth of the vegetarian culture which has its roots in the raw food trend around the world. Cruditaly is available HD— (40 x 57) recipes, tutorials and extras footage geared around the lifestyle. An additional 50 recipes are currently in post-production with a raw food chef: Elena Dal Forno.

Zack & Quack Join UK's Milkshake!

Prior to MIPJunior, UK's Channel 5 has acquired all 52 x 11' episodes of Zodiak Kids' new children's show Zack and Quack and will debut the series on its Milkshake! strand this autumn.
The 3-D animated pre-school series, which made its international debut at MIPCOM last year and launched on Nickelodeon UK in February and Nickelodeon US in April, forms part of a raft of sales for series.
Karen Vermeulen, SVP Global Sales and Coproduction, Zodiak Kids said: "We are delighted to announce this stellar line up of broadcasters around the world. Zack & Quack made a fantastic debut in the US earlier this year and we look forward to it progressing around the globe."
Produced by Zodiak Kids' UK production company, The Foundation, in partnership with creators QQD Limited and South Korean animation studio High 1 Entertainment, Zack & Quack follows the adventures of a dynamic and adventurous boy named Zack and his best friend, an impulsive young duck called Quack.
Along with Channel 5, multiple broadcasters across Europe have also signed up the show which continues to broadcast on Nickelodeon US; Discovery Italy will broadcast it on Frisbee (Free DTT), Clan TVE (Spain), TG4 (Ireland), MTVA (Hungary), NRK (Norway) and PlusPlus (Ukraine) are also all on board. Across Middle East, Africa and Asia broadcasters have also signed up to the show with e.tv (Africa), MBC (Middle East), Mediacorp (Singapore), PTS (Taiwan), Horng En (Taiwan) and Thai PBS (Thailand).

Zodiak Rights, the international division of Zodiak Media, and StoryVault Films have signed an extension to their first-look deal agreement. This extension to their deal will include new UK recommissions Me & My Guide Dog (2 x 60’, ITV1 – trailer above) following the successful first film of last year, and a second series of Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year (8x60’ & 1x90’). During MIPJunior and MIPCOM, Zodiak Rights will be representing Portrait Artist of the Year as both format and finished programming. London-based StoryVault Films specializes in factual, factual entertainment and drama-documentary formats and was founded in 2010. Zodiak Rights has available all of StoryVaults’ new programming at MIPJunior and MIPCOM 2014.
