Raydar Media To Reversion Top Rated Something Special -
We're All Friends Format For The International Marketplace

Alison Rayson, Managing Director, Raydar Media

London-based Raydar Media, the Independent distribution and co-production entity are unveiling a new slate of programming spanning children's and family content, documentary features and factual formats at MIPJunior and MIPCOM.

Alison Rayson, Managing Director, said: "We're delighted to continue to build on our partnerships with the creative community across children's and factual programming and to bring this exciting slate of high-quality programming to the market."

Raydar's new children's slate features three top-five ratings series from leading UK kid's channel CBeebies, including: With more than 10 seasons produced, Something Special is one of the most acclaimed and loved pre-school children's series in the UK. BAFTA Award and RTS Award winner, Something Special is a ground-breaking format that has done what previously has never been achieved in proving to be an addictive viewing experience for both pre-schoolers with learning difficulties and those without, both of whom play seamlessly together and feature in the series via their role play with the series' iconic host Mr Tumble. For the first time in its history, Cbeebies has granted Raydar Media the rights to reversion the Something Special format and the Something Special - We're all Friends format internationally.

Often to be found at the #1 spot on the BBC's iPlayer, Our Family (40 x 11) is a groundbreaking new observational documentary series that follows the lives of 8 young children (aged 4-6) and their very diverse families. All come from a variety of backgrounds and locations and all are different but all share the same hopes and dreams. The series features pre-school and school-age children who although they might be from a mix of backgrounds, ethnicities or have disabilities, everyone is part of the same big family.

Returning to the market with 20 new episodes is Plum Pictures' superb live action edu-tainment series, Teacup Travels. Taking children on exciting adventures to new continents, the series helps children discover history, geography and archaeology through fun and captivating storytelling. The first season achieved peak viewing figures of 573,000 on CBeebies and also recently launched on ABC kids in Australia in the channel's Top Five performer's chart.
