Incentive & Recreation Partner On
International Distribution Deal Of 850 Titles

Ariel Veneziano & Joe Pia
Just prior to MIPTV, Los Angeles-based sales company Recreation President Ariel Veneziano and Salt Lake City-based media fund Incentive Capital entered into a deal for the international distribution of the Incentive library of 850 feature films and television programs across a broad range of genres from renowned filmmakers, with cast-driven titles, which the company presents to international buyers at MIPTV.

Ariel Veneziano said, "Incentive has extremely valuable assets in its film and television library, allowing us to bring a far-reaching selection of product in different genres and formats to the marketplace. It is also a great foundation for future joint business endeavors."

Joe Pia of Incentive commented, "This is part of a long-term distribution and acquisition strategy designed to find innovative partnerships with exceptional media veterans like Ariel and Peter Wetherell who brokered the deal. The Incentive catalogue exemplifies this growth potential."

As the companies aggressively scout for new acquisitions, the collaboration on the library marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership between Incentive and Recreation. Incentive remains the rights holder to the catalogue of over 850 titles amounting to more than 3,000 hours of feature films and television programming including a wide selection of music-documentaries and concerts from top artists. The catalogue includes films such as The Return Of Super Fly (1990) starring Samuel L. Jackson; Religions Of The World, a 13-part series narrated by Oscar-winning actor, Sir Ben Kingsley; and recent documentaries TUPAC: Assasination (2009); Larry Flynt: The Right To Be Left Alone (2007) and Manufacturing Dissent: Uncovering Michael Moore (2007) as well as titles featuring John Wayne, Oscar-winning Sandra Bullock, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kirk Douglas, Cybill Shepherd, Harvey Keitel, Mickey Rourke, and recent Oscar-winning actor, Christopher Plummer.

Classic television series in the catalogue include Blake Edwards' Emmy and Grammy Award-winning Peter Gunn (1958-1961) and Mr. Lucky (1959-1960), Daniel Boone (1964-1970) starring Fess Parker, The Invisible Man (1975) starring David McCallum and Melinda Fee, and the animated series Speed Racer, (1967-1968) based on the popular Japanese anime series by Tatsuo Yoshida featuring the voice of Peter Fernandez.

The music programming includes documentaries and concerts from current pop stars to rock and roll classics such as Jessica Simpson, the Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West, Santana, Sheryl Crow, Metallica, the Gypsy Kings, the Beach Boys, Abba, The Beatles, Neil Young, Joe Cocker, The Rolling Stones and Sting.

Executive Producer and industry advisor, Peter Wetherell, President of Magus Entertainment, assisted in brokering the deal and will continue to be involved with both future acquisitions and the exploitation of the library worldwide.
