FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has acquired the global (except US, Canada and UK) television rights to brand new fashion reality titles Project Runway All Stars, Project Accessory and the all-new series of Project Runway. FME launches the new collection of fashion programming during MIPTV.
David Ellender, Global CEO, FME, said, "Project Runway All Stars and Project Accessory are both fantastic additions to FME's existing premium catalogue of entertainment programming. Having sold in over 150 countries worldwide, Project Runway is already a global hit and we are confident that the new titles will fast become equally popular."
Meryl Poster, President of Television, The Weinstein Company, said, "It has been a great year for Project Runway as the flagship show continues to be the number one show for Lifetime, while Project Runway All Stars became the break out new hit from the franchise. We are extremely proud of the Project Runway brand and we are excited to continue expanding the shows' global reach."
Project Runway All Stars (12 x 1 hour) is a spin-off of the hit series Project Runway. The show features 13 past Runway designers as they face weekly challenges and compete for a collection of lucrative prizes. Supermodel Angela Lindvall will host and judge alongside the world-famous fashion designers Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman, and Marie Claire's Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles will act as mentor to the veteran designers.
Adding to the FME catalogue is Project Accessory. The series features 12 designers as they compete and showcase their unique vision for accessories. With the help of their mentor, lifestyle expert Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti, the designers must dazzle the host, actress and model Molly Sims, and judges, designer Kenneth Cole and InStyle's Editor Ariel Foxman, with their one-of-a-kind accessories. Hosted by supermodel and fashion icon Heidi Klum, the Emmy® nominated series Project Runway returns for its ninth season and gives 20 designers the chance to launch their careers in fashion. Judges Michael Kors, Nina Garcia and mentor Tim Gunn are joined by roster of celebrity guest judges.
