For A Million Reasons

Los Angeles based production, financing and international sales company, Unified Pictures, headed by Founder and President Keith Kjarval, has entered into a co-production and financing deal with Vancouver based production/finance group Head of Bron Studios Aaron L. Gilbert on a three-picture slate. Unified will handle production and foreign sales on all three pictures while Bron will co-produce and finance the slate commencing with the comedy A Million Reasons.
“Completing the financing of three feature films is exciting enough, but to do so with a strong, like-minded partner like Bron Studios makes it even more gratifying,” said Kjarval. “We have thoroughly enjoyed our relationship with Aaron and Bron Studios and look forward to making terrific films together.”
”Bron is thrilled to be continuing and growing its relationship with Unified Pictures, starting with the heartfelt romantic comedy A Million Reasons,” said Gilbert. “The companies will detail talent and other production plans in the coming weeks.”
Unified Pictures and Bron Studios first teamed together with Industrial Entertainment to finance and produce the drama Janie Jones starring Abigail Breslin, Alessandro Nivola, and Elizabeth Shue, which premiered at Toronto International Film Festival (2010). Media House Capital, also a co-financier of Janie Jones, will finance A Million Reasons with Unified Pictures and Bron Studios.
Written and to be directed by Michael A. Nickles, A Million Reasons is scheduled to begin Production January 2011 in Vancouver and will be produced byKjarval and Gilbert.
At AFM, Unified Pictures international slate includes the newly acquired teen comedy Cherry and Janie Jones, which is a co-production between Unified Pictures and David Lynch’s Absurda.
Additionally, Unified Pictures is in production on the 3D animated feature Noah’s Ark, which is co-financed with Rising India, Inc. (RSII.PK). Written by Philip LaZebnik (The Prince of Egypt, Mulan and Pocahontas). Production is underway in Los Angeles with key art and direction being based in the US through Unified’s own in-house animation division, ElectroAge.
