Cameron Bailey Attends Cannes
In Role As Artistic Director TIFF

Cameron Bailey
In the first quarter of 2012, reflecting The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) ongoing efforts to fully integrate its programming activities and initiatives, Piers Handling announced that Cameron Bailey has the new title of Artistic Director, Toronto International Film Festival. In making the announcement Handling said, "The announcement is part of our ongoing efforts to become a fully integrated year-round film institution. While Cameron's responsibilities remain unchanged, I believe that his new title will support our efforts to streamline and integrate our programming across all divisions within the organization." Bailey said, "Over the past 18 months, the programming heads have been working towards finding ways to become further integrated when looking at our curatorial efforts throughout the year. This title change is one important step in this process." Cameron Bailey and Noah Cowan, Artistic Director, TIFF Bell Lightbox, are now aligned as the two Artistic Directors of TIFF in charge of all programming offerings, both year-round and festival-specific.

Piers Handling's title remains unchanged as Director and CEO of TIFF. Bailey's title was formerly Co-Director of the Toronto International Film Festival®.
