Sierra/Affinity Handling International On
The Coup To Star Brosnan Wilson & Monaghan

Rob Paris & Adam Ripp
Actor Pierce Brosnan will star alongside Owen Wilson in The Coup, with John Erick Dowdle directing from a script he co-wrote with his brother Drew Dowdle. Crime Scene Pictures' Adam Ripp and Rob Paris are financing and have teamed up with Steve Alexander and Drew Dowdle to produce. Steve Alexander said: "Having Pierce step into the role of a mysterious and ultimately heroic government operative is the perfect compliment to Owen's everyman dilemma. We're thrilled to have him on board."

Just prior to Cannes actress Michelle Monaghan has joined Owen Wilson and Pierce Brosnan. The Dowdle brothers said: "Michelle is an exceptional actor who always brings a depth of compassion and warmth to her characters. She and Owen Wilson will be the kind of screen couple you just can't help but root for."

The Coup is a thriller centered on an American family that moves to Southeast Asia and finds themselves entangled in a violent coup where rebels are attacking the city. Lensing is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2012.

Los Angeles based Sierra/Affinity is handling international sales with CAA representing the U.S. rights.

The company is in pre-production on Everly, a thriller starring Kate Hudson with Joe Lynch directing from a Black List script by Yale Hannon on which Sierra / Affinity has limited territories available.
